COVIM Translational Platform

The implementation of experimental approaches into clinical practice usually takes many years and involves a number of critical steps and hurdles. However, in the face of a rapidly spreading disease, effective therapeutic and prophylactic measures are immediately needed. Therefore, especially in pandemics, infrastructures to support efficient and rapid implementation of promising experimental results into clinical testing are of the utmost importance. The COVIM-Translational Platform provides tools and services for the implementation of novel immunotherapeutics against SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens for clinical use. We will build a platform that is available to all NUM partner sites to enable the fast development of immunotherapies against newly emerging pathogens.
